Hi there! I’m Evan — a graphic designer currently interning at Koto in New York City. I’m also a runner, gamer, urban planning enthusiast, and community builder passionate about bringing people together.
Before finding my calling in design, I spent eight years as an intelligence analyst in Washington, D.C., serving both in the U.S. Air Force and as a civilian. That experience taught me how to think strategically, communicate clearly, and work with purpose — all of which I bring into my design practice.
Since transitioning into design, I’ve discovered that my love of visuals, technology, and diplomacy is my superpower. I enjoy telling the story behind design decisions, breaking down how systems work, and using thoughtful communication to make ideas clear and engaging. While studying, I worked on branding projects for clients at Sunday Afternoon and Gretel, which solidified my passion for branding, design systems, and storytelling.
Today, I channel my background in analysis and storytelling into designing thoughtful brand experiences — combining clarity, beauty, and a touch of motion whenever possible. If that sounds like something you'd like to build together, I'd love to hear from you.
